Cancellation Policy

The reservation cancellation terms presented below are valid for all reservations made at Pousada Terra do Sol.

The cancellation terms deal in particular with the issue of refund of the amount deposited at the time of booking. This deposit is intended to confirm the reservation and keep the room locked for the guests. The deposit amount is 30% of the total cost of accommodation, and it is limited to a minimum of R$100.00 and a maximum of R$1000.00.

Cancellation will be treated differently according to the date on which the cancellation was requested, the greater the interval between the cancellation date and the check-in date the better it will be for the customer and for the Hotel. Cancellations very close to check-in will result in larger fines. There are 4 situations that are listed below:

1 - Cancellation Due To Regret:

Situation: If the reservation was made on our website and the guest requests cancellation less than 24 hours after making the reservation, and the check-in date has a gap at least 5 days from the date of cancellation:

Procedure Adopted: The hotel refunds the total amount charged. No fee is charged. The guest must formally request cancellation via WhatsApp.

2 - Cancellation In Advance:

Situation: If cancellation is requested 3 days or more in advance of check-in

Procedure Adopted: The guest can choose:

a - Keep the amount deposited 100% to be used in a future reservation within a maximum period of 2 years.

b - Request that we deposit the money back; in this case we charge a cancellation fee of R$75.00; and we deposit the rest. The guest must formally request cancellation via WhatsApp.

3 - Late Cancellation:

Situation: If cancellation is requested less than 3 days in advance of check-in until noon on the day of check-in:

Procedure Adopted: The first night is charged as a cancellation fee or the deposit amount, whichever is lower. The guest must formally request cancellation via WhatsApp.

4 - No Show:

Situation: The client does not show up at the inn on the day of check-in, does not say that he will not come, and asks for a refund after the check-in date.

Procedure Adopted: The total amount of the deposit is charged as a cancellation fee. Guest is not refunded.
